Santiago Day 25

another exploration day with stuff to check off the "30 things to do in Santiago, Chile" list. After the usual class and lunch routine we got back to the hotel and found out all the museums we wanted to go to today were closed! So Lea found this shopping area called "Barrio Patrodano"...? i think.. i spelled it wrong. it was this whole giant area filled with CLOTHES! i had a headache after walking through because it was such a busy place. stores filled with stuff.. streets filled with stuff.. people moving EVERYWHERE! i can't wait to get back home where everything is a lot slower and i can comprehend what's going on :(

Anyway.. i couldn't even properly take pictures cause i was trying not to get lost the whole time. We headed north to see the Santiago's recoletta cemetery which was two subway stops away.. which is REALLY far.. at least to me.

walking .. walking .. walking.. it's all we really do. if you're wondering why darryl looks naked under that jacket because he's wearing MY V-neck t-shirt.
this cemetery was not very similar to the nice one in Argentina. there were so many rows of these "building" type things filled with COFFINS! like a giant filing cabinet space.

After seeing this.. and because the sun was starting to set and it got kinda creepy.. we went to go eat "TOO MUCH SUSHI!" where there was an all you can eat sort of deal. it was pretty good, but everything they gave us was really thick. all of the rolls were whatever the chef made but i think our chef REALLY thinks cream cheese should be in every roll he serves up. i didn't take a picture because i ate them too fast cause of the hungerrrr.

looking for "too much sushi"
this is all i could take a picture of.. Half a soy sauce bottle and half a Lea torso. hahah

And coming back home to Diego de Almagro to have a semi-productive night of reviewing two of the 4.5 lectures we have. -___________-;; falling so behind already! we start Virology tomorrow. ughh.
