Santiago Day 37

had the most amount of sleep yesterday! almost 9 full hours but i woke up around 11:30 and everyone wanted to go to lunch by that time. -_______- so i didn't get to shower. we first went to Maria's office to talk about our plans, and it was our last walk to school ever! :( then we ate at the lunch restaurant for the last time ever! :(

We then went to the Santa Lucia marketplace and looked for more souvenir stuff which i bought a few.. not too many special things.. it was just so overwhelming :( I bought a little pastry and went back to the hotel and ate cup O noodle for snacky snack. lol.. i hope that was the last one. Then we got ready for our last fancy dinner at Meson Nerudino. it was at Bellavista again but we got to take the bus there. we got to sit with prof. Fuentes at the table and it was SUPER fun! we showed him how to hyphy, the stanky leg, Jerk, and Dougie. and Elaine said "dick" instead of "tick" and we told him about the Asian glowwww. lol what a fun dinner.

After the wine at dinner we rested a bit before drinking and playing beerpongg. it was whatever but i'm so happy we're going home soon! :)

Santiago Day 36

dooms day...

yesterday was our final, and i thought it was SO hard! I REALLY wanted an A in this class but it was just so overwhelming in the end and the test was more detailed than i studied. :( oh well. i guess that's what happens when you try to smush 10 weeks of Mircobiology and Microbio Lab into pretty much 3 weeks. DISASTER! ahhh wellz.

after lunch and stuff we hung out around the hotel before going to the Bellavista flea market and then Pablo Neruda's house. of course no pictures inside the house, but this guy was SO cool!!! all his houses are like boats.. and he had a secret passageway in his house and a river used to flow right through it and had bridges! but of course no pictures inside again :(

Santiago Day 35

oh gosh.. we've been here for so long now! We took our lab final test this morning and it wasn't TERRIBLY BAD.. but i am nervous because our whole goddamn grade depends on it :( we'll see how it goes, but now we've just all been studying all day for the class test. soon we'll be free and up to our adventures again! sorry for the boringness of the past few posts .. :/

Santiago Day 34

woke up late.. ahhh felt nice :) went to OH for Fuentes but he never came out -_______- so went to library instead. ate lunch, and went to office hours forrealsies. so helpful! went back to hotel and studied for the rest of the night. ughhhh, finals week kills Santiago for me.

Santiago Day 33

going crazy.. didn't leave the hotel all day. ate breakfast on second floor, got pizza delivered to us and ate it for lunch and dinner.. but have so much more studying to dooooo!! :(

Santiago Day 32

for some reason.. i realized that my day count is off because it SHOULD be my 32 day here now.. lol. so i just skipped it. but anyway, today started off great! we got to sleep in again until like.. 9AM! haha i think i've slept in about.. 3 times this whole trip. anyway, we left by 10:30 to go on our wine tasting tour! it was quite fun and now i feel like i'm a lot more ready to start being sophisticated and drinking wine.. lol. or not.

So anyway, after trying all those wines and buying a few bottles, i was pretty buzzin and fell asleep for the whole bus ride back. and then we ate at Domino's and McDonalds for french fries! nom. we all knocked out with another nap but since i woke up from the bus ride, i've had a pretty nasty headache. it lightened up by like.. 8PM but i wasn't able to start studying until almost 10:30PM! ughhh, i am an absolute fail. and now i feel like i can't concentrate because i'm just so happy i don't have a headache anymore and my stomach isn't feeling too queesy. blehhhhh. finals suck... there's so much stuff to study and i'm starting to freak outtttt :(

Santiago Day 29

UGHHHH, last day of sciency class today! still have spanish class on monday though. i think i'm going to take advantage of it because i realized that it will probably help me for spanish class at UCI in the fall. lol.. But it was a REALLY gross picture lecture with a lot of words so i was kind of dead by the end. After we got back i actually took a nap! the first one in like.. 2 or three weeks i've been going nonstop. this would not fly if i were at home. Anyway, we went to "vaquita sabrosa" (the little tasty cow? haha) and had REALLY good meat. on sunday we're going to vaca gorda (the fat cow) where it was too popular for us to get a reservation for :(

hehe, after walking out we decided to go to the bellavista artesan fair where it was like Los Dominicos but VERY SMALL and a bit cheaper. i bought my moms a red alpaca poncho and came home to take pictures for my blog.. then it turned into an ALPACA FASHION SHOW! pictures will explain better....
